A Monumental Triumph: Guinness World Record Shattered with Enormous T-Shirt

Prepare to be astounded as Asociatia 11even, Kaufland Romania, and Federatia Romana have accomplished an extraordinary feat—a new Guinness World Record for the largest T-shirt ever created! This colossal garment measures a mind-boggling 108.96 meters (357.48 feet) in length and 73.48 meters (241.08 feet) in width. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the T-shirt’s design—a reimagined version of the national flag, inspired by the iconic triple-colored belt found on the official jersey of the Romanian rugby team.

Unveiled with great fanfare in Bucharest, Romania, in late March, the collaboration between Asociatia 11even, Kaufland Romania, and Federatia Romana aimed to inspire the public to embrace recycling. Over half a million recycled plastic bottles were ingeniously repurposed to create this gigantic T-shirt. The collection of bottles, facilitated by Kaufland Romania, spanned more than three weeks. Seamstresses dedicated an entire month to skillfully stitch together this mammoth garment, which, when the moment of truth arrived, took an entire day to unfurl in all its glory.

Having achieved their ambitious goal and secured the world record, the T-shirt did not simply fade into oblivion. Instead, it embarked on a noble second life. With great care, it was deconstructed into a staggering 10,000 individual items of clothing. These newfound garments were then generously donated to underprivileged children, bringing warmth, joy, and a sense of unity to those in need.
