Following the release of the AMI x Puma Spring/Summer 2022 collection, we now get a closer look at the Slipstream Mids collaboration, which will be soon avaiable at Puma and AMI for $157.
The Slipstream Mids take on the silhouette of ’90s basketball sneakers, with the latest pairs fashioned in Pristine white canvas with stitched-on suede overlays and perforated detailing at the toe. Puma’s trademark Formstripes with stitching, gum outsoles, and co-branded hearts grace the tongue of the street-ready sneakers.
Keeping true to AMI’s name, which means “friend,” and PUMA’s basic principles of community and family, the partnership strives to express the concept of surrounding oneself with loved ones.
“I wanted this collection very easy in the way that for me it’s like a cola you know it’s like a croissant. You go, you see it’s nice, and you want to wear it right away. It’s a nice collaboration with two brands people love,” says Alexandre Mattiussi, founder and creative director of AMI.
