In a contemporary setting where many design and production procedures have been automated, Arte draws inspiration from various traditional crafts like vintage patchwork, quilting, and crocheting techniques to produce goods with imperfect human traces. “is an exploration of imperfection as real life isn’t perfect, it’s much more interesting than that.”

The upcoming pieces feature a strong emphasis on textures and a serene, earthy color palette. Highlights include black waxed blouson jackets with a shiny reflection resembling wet paint, zebra-print turtleneck puffers, red mohair cardigans, and yin-yang collared leather jackets.

Incorporated into quilted puffer sets, clover-shaped heart jeans, and painted finger-heart emojis on the backs of the varsity jackets, the heart icon is a recurring motif seen throughout many of the FW22 pieces. A selection of relaxed bottoms, hats, and beanies in workwear and sportswear styles complete the lineup. In addition to the finishing, hand-dyeing methods, handwritten motifs, and imperfect patterns are used to convey the collection’s narrative.

The first drop of Arte Antwerp FW22 is now available at the brand’s website and select retailers.
