Auralee is more than just a collaborator with New Balance, it’s a technical powerhouse in its own right, constantly creating bespoke textiles in unique cuts for its thoughtful collections. The brand may be better known in the West for its footwear partnerships, but there’s so much more to Auralee than that. Founder Ryota Iwai‘s worldview is truly one-of-a-kind and worth exploring.
For the upcoming Fall/Winter 2023 season, Auralee has taken the timeless 1906R running shoe from New Balance and transformed it into a work of art through the use of three stunning, tonal colorways. This is what Auralee does best, taking the familiar and making it extraordinary through a reconsideration of color, texture, fabrication, and finish.
While the sneakers are sure to be a hit, don’t overlook the rest of Auralee’s offerings. The brand’s shirts, sweaters, and slacks are just as noteworthy. The New Balance collaboration is a great starting point for those unfamiliar with Auralee, but there’s so much more to discover. The sneakers are set to release in late 2023, possibly after the release of the Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
