Brabus Celebrates 45th Anniversary With ITs 900 Crawler Custom Desert Dune Racer

This year marks Brabus‘ 45th anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone, the company has created the Brabus 900 Crawler, the company’s first supercar with an in-house developed chassis and a four-seater exposed-carbon buggy-style body.

While there are some similarities to Mercedes AMG‘s G-63, the 900 Crawler shares very little with the original SUV. This limited-to-15 dune racer features a custom exposed tubular chassis made of high-intensity steel painted in the brand’s signature red hue, as well as portal axles at the front and rear that raise the car to 53cm of ground clearance, allowing it to tackle almost any terrain.

Other features include height-adjustable special struts with adjustable damping that provide up to 160 mm of spring travel, Brabus Monoblock HD forged wheels with 40 x 13.50 R 20 off-road tires, aluminum, carbon fiber, and kevlar underbody panels, and a carbon buggy-style roof that adds both rigidity and, of course, a truly epic aesthetic.

Everything about the 900 Crawler is massive, as one would expect. The aforementioned wheels are housed in extra-wide front and rear wheel arches, roof-integrated LED lights are brighter than anything road-legal, and two matte black tailpipes exit from the side below the carbon rocker panels on either side of the vehicle in front of the rear wheels complete the G Wagon look.

Powered by Brabus’ 900 unit, which is a 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 900 horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torque. This results in a 0-62 MPH time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 100 MPH, which is limited by the wheels.

The 900 Crawler will be limited to 15 units, with five being released each year between 2022 and 2024. Each one will set you back €749,000 EUR ($793,000 USD).
