Celebrate ‘Scooby-Doo’ 20th-Anniversary With a $20 USD Night’s Stay in the Mystery Machine

This summer marks the 20th anniversary of the cult classic live-action Scooby-Doo film adaptation, and Shaggy actor Matthew Lillard has teamed up with Airbnb to help you commemorate the occasion by booking a night in the Mystery Machine itself.

Guests will be able to stay overnight in the Mystery Machine, which will be parked along the scenic Southern Californian coastline, for just $20 USD per night.

The interior of the iconic van, which features screen-accurate decals on the exterior, strongly harkens back to the ’90s and early 2000s, with a lava lamp, fairy lights, a Sugar Ray album that can be played on a portable CD player, and a square TV.

You can also invite the whole gang outside, where there will be a couch and hammock space. Of course, Matthew Lillard will be your virtual host for the duration of your visit, and there will be Scooby-Doo marathons complete with popcorn and candy.

“I’ve been channeling Shaggy since the live-action adaptation in 2002, and he’s been a part of me ever since,” Lillard exclaims. “I can’t wait to welcome guests into the world of the Mystery Inc. gang as their Airbnb Host and give them a summer vacation they’ll never forget…monsters not included!”

Airbnb will begin taking bookings for the Mystery Machine on June 16, starting at 1:00 p.m. EDT. You can learn more over on its website.
