Custom sneakers are an integral part of the culture. Whether it’s through DIY projects, more professional efforts like The Shoe Surgeon, or official releases leaning into the style, like Virgil Abloh‘s initial “The Ten” collection.
Huy Le‘s design has various characteristics of a popular custom. It transforms one of the most beloved projects of the previous five years into a low-rider. Le’s custom also has an old patina that evokes antique Hender Scheme feelings. Because the whole design is quite modest, no prominent colors are employed, allowing the sneaker to stand out for its amazing workmanship and quality rather than a contrasting color scheme.
The sneaker is available in two distinct colours. One has a whiter upper with touches of the old cream look. The other appears to be a well-worn-in pair.
One of the most well-executed bespoke sneakers.
