CUPRA has collaborated with responsible fashion design label RBURN to create a collection of pieces that celebrate both stylistic sustainability and the launch of CUPRA Born, the company’s first fully electric vehicle.
RBURN created a bespoke wrap of the car in honor of CUPRA’s innovative milestone, drawing inspiration from the design imprint’s parachute signifier. The graphic is overlaid in vibrant orange and brown hues, with a geometric pattern that emphasizes the car’s sporty exterior.
Furthermore, the fashion label created a fully sustainable clothing item using SEAQUAL® YARN, a textile made of recycled Mediterranean marine litter that is used to construct all CUPRA interiors. The two-piece womenswear iteration, which prioritizes utility, also includes RBURN’s signature parachute fabrication.
In a statement, Chris Raeburn, creative director of RÆBURN, said, “Everything I create is designed to be stylish, responsible and practical, so I was really excited to work with a brand like CUPRA that echoes this in everything they do. It’s been really interesting learning about the sustainable materials used in the all-electric CUPRA Born and working with these to create a bespoke piece. I’m really happy to have brought the CUPRA Born’s sustainable and sleek touches to life through my designs and to be supporting the switch to electric vehicles.”
