The Cybertruck was first announced in 2019 and was supposed to be released in 2021, but due to a delay, it will now be released in 2023. Musk also apologized for the long wait for the much-anticipated Cybertruck. Much of the car’s concept has been retained in the production model, but the handles have been removed in favor of an automatic opening system.

The Tesla Cybertruck will be built at the Texas Gigafactory, which is on track to become America’s “highest volume” car plant. Musk went on to say that the company plans to build more Gigafactories around the world in order to scale up production to a level that “no company has ever achieved in the history of humanity” and ensure that its vehicles are shipped in an environmentally friendly manner. Tesla will be releasing a “massive wave of new products” soon, he teased at the end of his presentation.
