Elon Musk Says Boring Company Will Build Hyperloop “In the Coming Years”

The Boring Company has won numerous local projects in cities such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles over the years. Despite approval from New York City and Washington, D.C. in 2017, CEO Elon Musk‘s grand vision of a city-linking hyperloop has yet to materialize. Regardless, Musk now appears to be hoping to build one in the near future.

Boring Company is planning to build a working hyperloop “in the coming years,” according to the Musk on Twitter. According to Musk, a hyperloop — which uses low-pressure tunnels to transport people and goods at speeds of up to 800 mph — is the fastest way to get from point A to point B for distances under 2,000 miles because it is not affected by traffic, weather, or road conditions. A Starship would be better for longer distances, according to the SpaceX CEO.
