To celebrate 20 years since the release of his influential studio album 8 Mile, Eminem has unveiled a deluxe edition.

The song served as both the album and soundtrack for the drama movie of the same name, which starred Eminem and was loosely based on his life, and came out in 2002.

With help from producers like DJ Premier, Guru, Chucky Thompson, and others, the artist executive produced the album. “Lose Yourself,” a track from the album, went on to become one of the artist’s most well-known singles.

Eminem surprised the audience with instrumental versions of each song from the original soundtrack for the anniversary edition. The demo version of “Lose Yourself” is also included in the deluxe version.

Nas, Rakim, Obie Trice, and 50 Cent were among the rap heavyweights who contributed features to the original 8 Mile. The instrumental versions of 8 Mile‘s songs are interesting to hear, but most fans will probably continue to stream the album’s original soundtrack.
