In honor of The Eminem Show is 20th anniversary, Eminem has released a special expanded edition.
The deluxe reissues of the 2002 album include 18 bonus tracks, including B-sides, live performances, instrumentals, and one previously unreleased song, which were previously unavailable for download or streaming. Physical editions of the expanded edition will be released later this year, and will include a four-LP vinyl set, as well as CD and cassette versions.
To combat bootlegging and meet listener demand, The Eminem Show was released on May 26, 2002 instead of the original June 4 date. The original 20-track album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 284,000 copies on its first day — still the only album to do so — and 1.3 million in its first week.
In 2002, it was named the best-selling album in the US and worldwide, and it has since been certified diamond. Em received a nomination for Album of the Year as well as wins for Best Rap Album and Best Music Video for “Without Me” at the 45th GRAMMY Awards.
