New Balance has had a busy year, with a variety of collaborations paired with a thoughtful arrangement of its classic silhouettes.
The 2002R, which has been at the forefront of the movement, has debuted in a new “Toast” aesthetic that favors an all-leather upper.
The 2002R in “Toast/Tawny Birch/Apricot Illusion” is reminiscent of Hender Scheme’s classic leather-crafted homage sneakers. Its upper foregoes the typical textile base in favor of leather, with buttery smooth panels joined by suede overlays.
Even the lining is made of leather, with “Vachetta Tan” shades running throughout the upper. The sole unit features N-ERGY cushioning to complete the look.
The New Balance 2002R “Toast” is now available for $164 USD at select retailers such as Up There, following a global release via New Balance and international retailers is expected in the coming months.
