FILA and Warner Bros. Discovery have collaborated to develop a capsule inspired by Semi-Pro, a cult-classic sports comedy from 2008.
The Flint Tropics, a fictional ABA team, are honored with this collection, which features the team’s distinctive logo and signature teal and orange tones from their uniforms.
A hooded sweatshirt features the team’s emblems on the chest, with ribbed detailing on the cuffs and waist; and a white T-shirt features both the Semi-Pro and FILA iconography on the front left chest, with lettering reading “Moon” and “33” on the back, a nod to the film’s famous character Jackie Moon. There is also a pair of white basketball shorts with inspired teal and orange side stripes.
For this partnership, the Grant Hill 2 sneakers are reinvented twice. The footwear silhouette comes in black and white and features an embossed Flint Tropics emblem on the quarter, Semi-Pro graphics on the heel, and dual iconography on the sock liners. Both come with teal and orange embellishments, of course.
Beginning October 25, the Semi-Pro x FILA collaboration will be available for purchase on the FILA website.
