First Look at the Upcoming EAMES x Reebok Classic Leather Collab

Reebok has a knack for producing nostalgic and/or extremely niche footwear collaborations, such as its collaboration with the EAMES Office — the company associated with groundbreaking 20th-century American designers Charles and Ray Eames.

The two companies first collaborated in Fall 2021 with the release of four Club C colorways, and they will now expand their portfolio with Classic Leather offerings in Spring/Summer 2022.

Former Reebok Sr. Product Marketing Collaborations Manager Leo Gamboa was the first to tease the two-piece pack, which pays homage to EAMES’s ‘The Colouring Toy’ and ‘Rosewood’ works. The former pair features a white leather base and angelic bottoms, as well as a slew of toy figures in black outline throughout the entire upper.

On the mid-foot windows, EAMES text replaces the traditional Reebok logos, and the tongues are styled with co-branded hits. In addition, the insoles spell out “The Colouring Toy” to emphasize the direct reference.

The second pair is more furniture-inspired, with the uppers completely covered in woodgrain patterns to resemble EAMES’ signature Molded Plywood Lounge Chair. Solid brown notes introduce more contrast through the laces and bottoms, and the shoes feature the same type of branding as its release sibling.

The AMES x Reebok Classic Leather are set to release sometime in the coming weeks via Reebok.
