Givenchy, fresh off its collaboration with Disney to celebrate 100 years of film, unveils its new Spring/Summer 2023 campaign under the creative direction of Matthew M. Williams. The visuals feature Jamaican artist Alkaline donning the brand’s latest collection in an immersive light setting.
Embracing its connection to music, Givenchy allows Alkaline to wear the clothing in a way that feels authentic to him. The brand aims to inspire others with the musician’s easygoing personality.
In the campaign, Alkaline puts his own spin on Givenchy’s SS23 collection. He exudes a subtle attitude while wearing elevated outerwear and camouflage-printed tracksuits with “ripped and repaired” detailing. The campaign communicates a dynamic energy through a variety of poses featuring garments that blend streetwear and sophisticated tailoring. White and black leather motorcycle jackets adorned with Givenchy emblems and paired with slouchy cargo pants complete the looks.
The Jamaican artist also accessorizes with standard bandanas, beanies, and Givenchy’s futuristic eyewear styles. The brand also presents its new take on footwear, paired with sleek caps for a sporty look.
