New Directions to the Parallel Dimension, or NDPD for short, is the latest sneaker brand to enter the market with futuristic aspirations. With an Instagram post that reads, “back from the year 2333”, NDPD has launched its first-ever high and low top sneakers, dubbed the 1100°C.
Taking inspiration from brands like Kool Ky, One In the Chamber, and John Geiger Co., NDPD’s shoes reimagine familiar models with alternate details. The 1100°C features a color scheme and overall upper shape that pays homage to the classic Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”, with cheeky heel branding that further explores the reference.
The midfoot flame graphic is reminiscent of the fireball on YG‘s 4Hunnid label’s Block Runner sneaker, while the midsole and outsole’s aged, melted, and warped detailing.
The 1100°C sneakers will be exclusively available at the ArtScience Museum’s Sneakertopia exhibit in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, beginning April 8. Only 50 pairs of each high and low top model have been produced, and they will retail for $700 USD.
