Jacquemus Is Getting Into The Beauty Business

Jacquemus Is Venturing Into Beauty

Simon Porte Jacquemus is a fan of all things beautiful, and his eponymous label is his newest venture into the world of beauty.

Although the designer has not yet commented on the potential launch, WWD reports that the upcoming venture will be in collaboration with Spanish beauty giant Puig, who also own the beauty extensions of Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten, Paco Rabanne, as well as a licensing from COMME des GARÇONS Parfums.

There’s no word on what the first product will be, but I’m sure it’ll be a scent inspired by the French Riviera. As a lover of flowers, nature, and everything that makes you feel like you’re on vacation all the time, a smell just makes sense. Maybe the bottle will be shaped like the iconic mini Le Chiquito bag?

In terms of other goods, Jacquemus’ fresh-faced approach leads me to believe that he’ll continue to emphasize the “less is more” appearance with natural products that prioritize quality.

A lot is left to the imagination with little to no information accessible, but I’m curious to see what Simon Porte Jacquemus has up his sleeve. With books, jewelry, a flower pop-up store in Paris, and an unconfirmed Nike collaboration under his belt, it’s bound to be a success.
