Jacquemus Shares a Closer Look at Its First Nike Footwear Collaborations

Nike has responded to adidas‘ recent announcement of a women’s-focused collection with Jacquemus by announcing its own. The collaborative capsule was first shown in mid-May 2022, but we now have a better look at the footwear pieces in the collection.

“Having this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors, along with my own interpretation of the Humara, my favorite Nike shoe,” said Simon Porte Jacquemus when asked about the inspiration behind the sneaker.

The ACG-inspired silhouette is now available in two colorways, both of which feature trail-ready tooling and elevated color palettes. By smoothing out the mid-foot panels with more white space and tiny Swoosh logos coated in an elevated metallic gold finish, Jacquemus reworks the upper with a cleaner aesthetic.

Striped banners are still present throughout the base, but the quantity has been reduced, and they now only show face around the collars. The hiker-inspired sole pieces are preserved below, while the midsoles and outsoles maintain their ridged edges.

Jacquemus has confirmed that both sneakers will be released on June 28. The retail price has not yet been revealed.
