Continuing its focus on sustainability, sneaker brand KangaROOS has teamed up with another organization for their next recycled ocean plastic sneakers. The German Brand has joined forces with EARTH water, a Dutch non-profit organization that donates 100% of its net profits from selling its bottled water towards building fountains for communities without access to clean water.
The collaboration gives birth to a limited edition Ultimate OG “Africa,” the new sneaker features an upper made from a mix of purple and yellow suede and distinctive textile panels. Handmade by a team of local experts, career changers and refugees in the region near the KangaROOS headquarters in Pirmasens. And a part of the revenue, EARTH Water and KangaROOS will finance a water source to support people in Cameroon to have access to drinkable, clear water.
EARTH Water x KangaROOS Ultimate OG “Africa” will release on July 6. The premium handcrafted sneaker will retail for €270 EUR, or roughly $308 USD.
