Kim Jones teams up with Hennessy for a limited-edition collection
Renowned fashion designer Kim Jones has collaborated with Hennessy on a special limited-edition collection that includes a sleek decanter, a limited-edition Hennessy X.O bottle, and the HNY Low sneakers.
Inspired by early basketball shoes, the sneakers are cast in a light cognac-colored nubuck leather. This marks the first time that the alcohol brand has partnered with a fashion designer. Jones draws inspiration from cognac-making and couture, finding similarities in the natural world, artisanal craft, and scientific understanding.
“I’m fascinated by the rich heritage of Hennessy, a household name behind which artisans have spent hundreds of years creating this special cognac,” says Jones. “Storytelling is very important for me regardless of what I’m designing or who I’m collaborating with – I want my designs to educate and inspire people through the stories they tell.”
