LEGO and the James Bond franchise have teamed up to celebrate LEGO’s 90th anniversary and James Bond’s 60th anniversary at the toy company’s newly renovated flagship store in London’s Leicester Square. Life-sized replicas of James Bond as a mini-figure, Blofield’s cat, and the iconic 007 Aston Martin DB5 are housed in the 805sqm space, which is LEGO’s largest shop in the world.
The 1,037 kilogram DB5 model is made up of 357,954 LEGO bricks and took nearly 57 days to build, according to LEGO. A rotating license plate, functional headlights, a light-up dashboard, and an authentic steering wheel are among the features.
To commemorate the 1964-era icon, a smaller 298-piece James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 Speed Champions model will be available in stores and online. For more information, visit the 007 website.
