The next item was a wearable sound system with voluptuous gramophone horns and slime green LV flower monograms. Even Kendrick Lamar, who has won 14 Grammy awards, made an appearance in a crown of thorns and performed Savior live while giving the show is elaborate dreamworld his punchy flows from the front row. Let us just say that the show was one of the most popular tickets in town.

Using the late creative director Virgil Abloh‘s truly imaginative power, the house’s expert Studio Prêt-à-Porter Homme team was left in charge of charting a new legacy for the French maison. This creative hub had no problem fusing brand codes old and new – in particular a penchant for acid-drenched color palettes and out-of-the-box cuts – with the follies of youth, creating their very own playground outside the Louvre.

Vuitton‘s exquisitely tailored suits, playing with proportions with curvy, nipped waists and wide shoulders, featured pleated paper planes and expansive collage prints as their focal points.

Deconstructed leather jackets dripped white and green leather slithers down slender bodies, saddling up to chunky moon boots and frayed denim twinsets, both entirely branded with the LV logo. Such outfits give a sense of innocent whimsy, a naivety shown in neon animal prints and beaded headdresses.

The show indulged in both good and bad tastes, mixing varsity jackets with cream aprons and translucent, cloud-like roll necks with shibori dyes. Since the only currency in this place was fantasy, no idea was considered absurd or out of the question.
