New Balance 2002R “Hiking Pack” Arrives in Fresh “Beige” Colorway

This season, New Balance‘s sneaker production numbers are expected to skyrocket, and one silhouette that will be part of that is the 2002R.

While the silhouette is best known for being a lifestyle choice, the brand has chosen to add protective elements that make it more suitable for hiking trails.

Toe Protect overlays have been added across the front of the kicks, providing wearers with more durability and protection against rougher terrains. The metal eyelets tacked on near the ankles, as well as the laces that have been modified to rope form, are other hiker-inspired elements.

This colorway features a signature trail palette, with a dusty hue lining the suede overlays and rosy pink hits on the laces, collars, and heel windows. Beige hues are injected into the lower heel paneling, and the N logos on the sides are tinted in a lilac tone.

These are currently only available in Korea through New Balance, but a stateside release is expected in the coming weeks.
