New Balance Brings Murky Vibes for Its 991 Silhouette

New Balance has been able to maintain strong momentum in recent years with its ever-expanding arsenal of footwear designs.

By collaborating with a wide range of different collaborators across a wide range of silhouettes, the American sportswear brand has maintained its popularity by producing a high consistency of clean and versatile colorways. In line with the latter, one of the silhouettes that is still pushing the pace is the New Balance 991, which is now available in a green colorway under the Made in U.K. label.

With its earthy-colored base, this most recent installment is preparing for fall by coordinating with the change in seasons at the end of summer. The majority of the upper build is made of mesh underlays, with a layer of green leather sitting above.

Suede paneling that is distributed around the toe boxes, across the mid-foot, and heels, all of which are coated in the same green hue, takes up additional layers throughout the design. Lighter tones of white are used on the highlighted New Balance 991 branding on the tongue, lateral mid-panel, and rear heel, which has a rope-like texture and is touched up with the same murky tone.

The New Balance 991 “Made in the UK” will be available from retailers such as 43einhalb’s website beginning August 17 for €229.95 (approximately $235 USD).
