Every year, Nike will pull a retro basketball from the vault and give it a slew of opportunities to shine through vintage reissues and collaborative projects.
A wave of Air Max Penny 1‘s hits the market in 2022, and after being filtered through the lens of Social Status, the silhouette is fashioned in a crisp clean “Photon Dust” palette.
This latest offering is probably best described as minimalist. The premium leather panels that make up the base, as well as the textured molds that start at the forefoot and creep into the quarters, are all white, while the shaggy suede overlays are dyed in the color of the shoe’s name.
The Nike logo is highlighted in yellow on the toe box, while the jeweled Swooshes are set against a black backdrop and feature the standard crack pattern. The neutral theme continues down below, with the midsoles featuring an angelic finish and the outsoles featuring creamy accents.
The Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Photon Dust” is expected to drop drop via SNKRS on September 8.
