This year Nike has opted to blend the classic Air Max 95 “Safari” with various “Viotech” shades of purple.
The now-iconic safari pattern was first seen on Tinker Hatfield‘s Nike Air Safari in 1987, and it has appeared numerous times since, including on the highly sought-after atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Safari”. The pattern has now made its way to the lateral side of this Air Max 95, where it blends in with a gradient of layered earth tones.
The upper is made of suede, mesh, and corduroy with strong purple accents on the medial side and heel of the shoe. Air units can be found in the midsole, and the outsole is finished in a subtle shade of military green.
Though no release date has been announced, expect this pair to hit Nike and select retailers worldwide in the near future.
