Nike’s ACG Watercat+ Returns in a Court Purple Colorway

Nike‘s ACG label is renowned for its functional yet obscure designs. In 2006, the outdoor-focused division introduced the Nike ACG Watercat+, a woven sneaker designed for use in water. Now, 17 years later, the Watercat+ is set to make a comeback, with the “Court Purple” colorway leading the charge.

The shoe’s unique upper construction can be compared to silhouettes like the KEEN Uneek. However, for this updated version, Nike designers replaced the original textile ribbons with a bungee cord-like pattern, and added leather panels around the throat and mudguards.

The woven materials, textured footbeds, and rubber heel counters are all painted with the titular hue. ACG branding is found on the heels and lateral sides of the midsole, which sits against a lilac backdrop. The rubber treading below features hexagonal traction and a two-toned design.

Whether you need a new pair for the summer or a functional option for your next beach trip, keep an eye out for the Nike ACG Watercat+ in “Court Purple” at select retailers and Nike, priced at $125 USD.
