Nike’s Air Force 1 Low “Chinese New Year” Arrives in Furry Vibes

With 2022 coming to an end, Nike is kicking forward for the festive holidays of early 2023, including Lunar New Year. So, in preparation for the annual tradition, the Swoosh is creating various sneaker colorways that correspond with the holiday, one of which is this Nike Air Force 1 Low “Chinese New Year.”

The soft, white fur that surrounds the Swooshes and heel overlays on these sneakers are meant to represent the Year of the Rabbit and nod to those born in the years 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, and 2023.

Tan overlays embroidered with tonal floral patterns sit alongside these animal textures to further echo its China-inspired motif. Jaded teal accents are used subtly and applied to the “AF1” hits on the lower throat as well as the Nike Air branding on the back.

The tiny 2023 hits printed on the tongues, the modernized insole “Just Do It” branding, and the bottoms with a milky tint are also noteworthy.

Although no official release date has been announced, these should be available before the Chinese New Year holiday in February.
