Bodega has been releasing a steady stream of footwear collaborations throughout 2022, and after collaborating with Reebok on a high-end Club C, it’s been tapped by ASICS to reimagine the relatively new GEL-MC PLUS.
The Boston-based streetwear retailer took inspiration from the blossoming Spring season for this new collaboration, styling it with accenting hues that reflect natural elements. Bodega wanted to bring in more vibrant colors to coincide with the warmer weather after a long and dreary winter.
The majority of the mesh uppers and perforated underlays are light gray, with pale yellow tiger stripe logos and bold blue hits throughout the interior lining, medial panels, and heels. Face is also highlighted by subtle pops of teal, orange, and purple throughout the medial quarters and tongues.
To commemorate Bodega’s 15-year anniversary, the right insoles are printed with a “15 Years” hit, while the left side has co-branded embellishments. The kicks come with a co-branded key ring and are packaged in a special multi-colored shoebox.
The Bodega x ASICS GEL-MC PLUS will be available on April 29 via Bodega at 12pm EDT.
