Post Malone has returned with his latest solo offering, “Chemical,” marking his first single release of the year.
Produced by a trifecta of musical talents in Louis Bell, Andrew Watt, and Post Malone himself, the three-minute track sees the artist blend a folk-based guitar melody with contemporary pop elements. In the song, Posty explores themes of holding onto a relationship and seeking forgiveness, highlighting the “chemical” connection he feels towards the other person.
“Chemical” follows Post Malone’s last album release, twelve carat toothache, which arrived in June 2022 and featured collaborations with an array of artists, including Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, and The Weeknd. The highly-anticipated album went on to debut at No. 2 on the charts.
