Quavo and Takeoff have released the official music video for one of the project’s lead tracks, “Messy,” directed by Quavo and Daps, following the release of their joint album Only Built For Infinity Links earlier this month.
In the opening sequence of the video, a perplexed Quavo awakens a sleeping Takeoff inside a vehicle to inform him that he had a dream about “some messy a** s***.” After falling asleep again, the two wake up rapping from inside a Halloween-themed house.
And, as the title suggests, things quickly devolve into chaos: guests start throwing food at each other across a dining table; a heated card game turns into a screaming match; and a couple argues while children run through the corridors.
Only Built for Infinity Links debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 earlier this month, marking Quavo and Takeoff’s first album without fellow Migos member Offset. Mustard appears on “See Bout It,” YoungBoy Never Broke Again appears on “To The Bone,” Young Thug and Gunna appear on “Chocolate,” Summer Walker appears on “Mixy,” Birdman appears on “Big Stunna,” and Gucci Mane appears on “Us vs. Them.” Murda Beatz, DJ Durel, Money Musik, Budda Beats, and others contributed to the album’s production.
