Sure, your R&B playlist has more than enough slow jams from artists like The Weeknd, Beyoncé, and Nakkia Gold. But you’re definitely sleeping on Rileyy Lanez‘s new EP, Bittersweet. The EP features seven songs that showcase her singing abilities.
The project, which debuted on Friday (December 2), finds the rising star working alone. “Blessings,” “4U,” and “4Life” are among the previously released singles. “On Us,” a song she sings to a potential lover, is a standout new track from the singer.
Speaking on the project in a press release, Lanez said, “Things that are sweet can turn bitter. This EP shines a light on all parts of a relationship – the good and the bad.”
She added, “Even after being exposed to all sides, Bittersweet is about knowing when it’s worth fighting for.”
The new songs were produced by S. dot (Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige) and OG Parker (Megan Thee Stallion and Latto).
