Samuel Ross has published his first major book, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his art and sculpting profession. It is a coffee table must-have.
Whether or not you’ve been following Ross’ career, the book details his work with his label A-COLD-WALL*, as well as personal projects, art and design work, and more. It also includes text snippets written by some of his friends, peers, and mentors, like Virgil Abloh, Daniel Arsham, FUTURA, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Takashi Murakami, and more – all falling under the “Contribution of the Zeitgeist.”
Object – Form.Form! The book presents both text and graphics, including A-COLD-WALL*’s sought Nike collaborations (as well as praise from the Swoosh CEO! ), work with Beats by Dre., material experiments, and more. The book’s design is ideal for design fans, with a bright yellow cover and a fabric sleeve.
Samuel Ross has had a tremendously successful and interesting career, and this book is the definitive collection of some of his most renowned work to date. Although 457 pages may not be sufficient to document Ross’ impact on the fashion business, it is a good place to start.
