Snoop Dogg, E-40, Ice Cube & Too $hort Drop Bars On Mount Westmore Album

Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too $hort, and Ice Cube have been teasing a Mount Westmore project for nearly two years. It’s no secret that each artist has left their mark on the culture, but the idea of them collaborating on a project felt like a dream come true.

The four artists came together for Mount Westmore’s new album, SNOOP CUBE 40 $HORT, after a few singles to build anticipation. The first collaborative effort includes 16 songs and runs for more than one house. For the most part, the four titans handle the project on their own. P-Lo, on the other hand, provides the assist on “Too Big.”

The four artists explained to the LA Times that they created the Mount Westmore project over Zoom during the pandemic. According to Ice Cube, all four of them used their resources to get the project off the ground.

“I think everybody saw an opportunity to do something bigger than just us. Something fun. Hip-hop can be so serious … but ain’t nobody having more fun than us. We all love each other, it’s like being in a group with your cousins,” Ice Cube explained.

“It felt like being a kid again, being able to be with your friends and not have to go in when the street lights come on,” Snoop said of Mount Westmore’s creative process. “We can have a friendly argument and then talk about football, basketball, whatever. We want to show the youngsters how to grow into Ice Cube, Too Short, 40, Snoop Dogg. How you can grow into your 50s and still be relevant.”
