Sonos Introduces its Compact “Ray” Soundbar

Sonos has announced the Ray, its smallest and most affordable soundbar yet. While most Sonos products are expensive, with the $449 USD Beam soundbar previously being the most affordable option, the Ray offers an all-in-one home theater experience for just $279, providing a significant upgrade to any TV’s built-in speakers.

Trueplay speaker-tuning technology from Sonos’ Ray optimizes sound based on the unique acoustics of each room, and it can be paired with other Sonos speakers or subwoofers for enhanced performance and multi-room playback. It can be tucked inside a media stand thanks to its small tapered design and forward-facing speaker components.

The new compact soundbar is capable of Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround Sound and connects to Wifi for wireless streaming, though some features are missing, such as Dolby Atmos compatibility and a microphone.

The Ray is an ideal entry point into a Sonos home theater system because of its simple plug-and-play setup and the brand’s proven track record for delivering high-quality sound and seamless user experiences.

The Sonos Ray is now available at the Sonos website and select dealers for $279 USD.
