Stüssy and Dries Van Noten Hit the Beach for Their “Holiday ‘22” Collection

A$AP Nast revealed on Instagram earlier this month that a Stüssy and Dries Van Noten collaboration was in the works, and now the first official look at the lookbook has surfaced.

The official imagery followed a recent video posted on Stüssy’s socials, which featured Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers performing morning stretches in a couple of key pieces from the collection.

The teaser video showed him wearing a co-branded varsity letterman jacket with gold embroidered and graphic patches, while on the bottom half, he was seen looking relaxed in a pair of shorts with Dries’ signature abstract patterning.

More of the same bold patterns and abstract branding are used in this first look at the lookbook, with the campaign making its way down to the beach to add a bit of warmth to the winter season. The collection, appropriately titled “Holiday ’22,” explores Stüssy classics through a play on both subtle and unexpected colors, vibrant prints, and proportions to create a well-rounded and versatile wardrobe.

The collection includes an abundance of weather-ready outerwear, as well as bomber jackets, crewnecks, loose-fit pants, and vests made from a variety of fabrics ranging from corduroy to leather. The usual Stüssy and Dries motifs are used throughout, but new plays are also spotted on the latter, with new cut-and-sew takes presenting reimagined visual themes.
