Supreme Celebrates Art and Pop Culture in its Spring/Summer 2023 Collection

Supreme is back with its latest Spring/Summer 2023 collection and it’s better than ever. The lookbook stars members of the skate team, including Tyshawn Jones, Sean Pablo, Efron Danzig, and Taito, who showcase the range in a simple, yet striking style.

The collection is dominated by a mix of textiles, distressing, patterns, prints, patchwork, embroidery, and badge applications, all tied together by a uniquely New York outlook. Inspiration comes from a variety of sources, including art, sports, music, food, military styling, and rugged workwear.

Despite the warmer weather ahead, the SS23 collection still features a heavy selection of outerwear, including new options like the Leather GORE-TEX 700-Fill Puffer and updated versions of Supreme’s established outerwear styles. The brand has also continued its relationship with heritage names, offering a multicolor Vanson leather offering and a Sequin Jacket, Satin Baseball Jersey, and Satin Short set in collaboration with Mitchell & Ness.

Collaborations this season include an unexpected team-up with Cactus Plant Flea Market, resulting in a varsity jacket and hoodie, styles with graphics from British designer Sue Clowes, and a set of jackets, jersey, pants, and shorts with Umbro, as well as a belt, wallet, and keychain in collaboration with leather specialists Hollywood Trading Company. Pop culture celebrations include Supreme’s look back at past photo campaigns and a tribute to the late Kurt Cobain, the iconic Nirvana frontman.

This season, the focus on art continues with styles decorated with artwork from Frank Miller’s Ronin comic series and a release from Mark Gonzales, including a sweater, chino, and bags.

Supreme’s SS23 collection will be released on a weekly basis, starting on February 16, with the first drop and in Japan on February 18.
