Microsoft has created an Xbox that looks like a cassette player from the Upside Down, rooted in 1980s nostalgia, in homage to the show, which heavily relies on the ’80s pop culture reference. Microsoft is cashing in on the Stranger Things cultural phenomenon by releasing an Xbox Series S with an exclusive design.

The Upside Down Xbox Series S is a unique console with cassette player-style buttons beneath the fan grill and the Stranger Things logo on the side. The controller and console also have a weathered appearance, as if they have become entangled in the Upside Down’s tendrils, vines, and vicious floral and fauna. The Xbox Series S comes with a hazmat container to complete the look.

Microsoft has previously created limited-edition consoles with furry Sonic the Hedgehog-themed Xbox controllers. Last week, Stranger Things fans in the Los Angeles area had the opportunity to win one of these custom consoles at the Xbox Plaza at L.A. Live. Fans from around the world who want a Stranger Things console should follow Xbox’s official Twitter account for a chance to win a sweepstakes, similar to the Top Gun: Maverick Xbox Series X contest.
