The late artist’s family has announced a special Celebration of Life in his honor.
The public memorial is scheduled for Friday, November 11 at 12:00 p.m. at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, and will allow fans to pay their respects to the artist. A strict no-photo/video policy will be enforced, and all devices will be checked with Yondr bags before entering the venue.
Instead of flowers or gifts, Takeoff’s family requests that the public donate to the recently established The Rocket Foundation, which supports programs that save lives through proven, community-based solutions to prevent gun violence.
Georgia residents can get free tickets from Ticketmaster. Tickets are non-transferable, and parties must enter the arena together. The doors will open at 11 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early. Those who are unable to obtain tickets are advised not to attend the event.
