Christian Bale‘s addition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has long been desired by fans, and his performance as Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder did not disappoint. You can now see how his distinct appearance was created thanks to the film’s makeup effects team.
Odd Studio took to Instagram to share a series of images of Bale as Gorr during a makeup test for the character, showcasing all the terrifying details on Thor’s main antagonist for the film, including his haunting eyes, decaying teeth, and creepy veins and scars on his body.
The FX team also collaborated with Allied FX to help develop what is now known as Gorr Greige Super Ink for Bale’s skin tone and Mouth FX to achieve the dark bile that spills out of the villain’s mouth when he talks, according to the post.
Thor: Love and Thunder is now in theaters.
