The Hundreds Joins Forces With ‘Playboy’ for New Collaboration

The Hundreds links up with Playboy for a new collection honouring the iconic American magazine’s role in activism, social justice and sexual revolution. The collaboration features a pastel color palette and includes a T-shirt, short-sleeve button-up, long-sleeve T-shirt, pullover hoodie, dad hat and beach towel.

All of the pieces feature feature the iconic Playboy logo, which is flipped to look like a hand raising a peace sign — a nod to Playboy‘s influence in challenging the conservatism of the ’50s and revolutionizing American culture. “Playboy Magazine became a publishing and entertainment empire that juxtaposed stylized nude photography with top-notch journalism and literature,” writes The Hundreds. “Within the magazine’s pages were interviews with luminaries like Malcolm X, Stanley Kubrick, and Miles Davis, alongside fiction by leading writers like Jack Kerouac, Ernest Hemingway, and Joyce Carol Oates. Playboy truly set itself apart from its competition with its social concerns, with Hugh Hefner an outspoken advocate of civil rights, reproductive rights, the antiwar movement, and LGBTQ rights.”

The Playboy x The Hundreds collection will hit The Hundreds’ online store, LA location, Agenda Festival and select retailers in the near future.
