Safari print has been used in a variety of ways and on a variety of Nike silhouettes, but many will associate it with atmos‘ Air Max 1 collaboration, which debuted in 2002 and was re-released in 2016. The iconic pattern will reappear on the Sportswear silhouette in 2022, this time in a brighter palette to coincide with the Spring/Summer season.
Taking a cue from the Japanese retailer, the Swoosh design team adds safari print in a muted gray to the mudguards and collars.
Furthermore, the heels have oversized Swooshes, while the forefoot has miniature Nike checks. The uppers of the kicks are primarily styled with “Cobblestone” overlays, while the tongue branding, side logos, and insert backdrops are done up in “Worn Blue.” Below, the midsole pieces are painted a creamy color, while the treading is styled in a more “Cobblestone” pattern.
Expect these Nike Air Max 1 kicks to release within the coming months with a price of $160 USD. Meanwhile, check out the Nike Air Max Day 2022 releases here.
