NEIGHBORHOOD and adidas takes on the ADIMATIC, one of adidas Originals‘ most recent retro silhouettes. The ADIMATIC, set to be reintroduced in 2022, has already been reworked by atmos and Human Made as it continues to trend in East Asian markets.
NEIGHBORHOOD founder Shinsuke Takizawa has so far revealed two colorways via his Instagram. Both prefer a monochromatic look of black and gray, with shaggy suede at the base of each upper.
Suede detailing appears on the sneaker’s oversized Three Stripes branding, while NEIGHBORHOOD branding appears on the heel, tongue, sockliner, and lateral midsole.
Conveniently, the ADIMATIC’s signature shark tooth midsole complements NEIGHBORHOOD’s design aesthetic, as similar patterns have appeared on previous releases such as the NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas NMD R1 Primeknit.
The two NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas ADIMATIC colorways will be available on November 5th via adidas CONFIRMED in Asia and NEIGHBORHOOD’s website for a price of 19,800 JPY (approximately $135 USD).
