The adidas Originals Forum is a sneaker culture mainstay, appearing in both general release and collaborative guises appropriate for any occasion. With a tactile “Camp” makeover, the Three Stripes hopes to push its Forum 84 Low off-piste.
The Forum 84 Low Camp, which arrives in a striking shade of “Collegiate Gold,” blends leather and nylon on the top for a design that’s more workwear-inspired than anything else that’s ever graced the silhouette.
A padded collar, a tongue strap as is customary, webbing heel pulls, and thematic extension onto the laces that mimic the stitched webbing all help to elevate the pair into the technical realm, while other aspects provide a direct allusion.
adidas Originals uses elasticated loops on the lower section of the uppers as part of the “Camp” revamp, hinting that laces might be threaded through them for added foot-hugging support.
