Razer, the premier gaming hardware company, has announced the release of its latest innovation, the Viper Mini Signature Edition, a mouse that they claim is the best lightweight performance gaming mouse ever created.
The mouse features a “honeycomb” design and weighs just 49 grams, making it the lightest mouse in Razer’s lineup. To achieve the significant weight reduction, the Viper Mini Signature Edition is constructed from high-grade magnesium alloy, which is more durable and rigid than plastic and lighter than titanium.
The mouse is also equipped with the latest technology, including the Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, HyperSpeed Wireless, HyperPolling Wireless with 4000Hz polling rates, and a 2C charge rating, allowing the device to fully power up in under 90 minutes. Additionally, the product comes with Razer’s first-ever 3-year warranty.
Razer’s Head of Industrial Design, Charlie Bolton said “We wanted to push beyond the traditional honeycomb design, and this required a material with an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio. After evaluating plastics, carbon fiber and even titanium, we ultimately chose magnesium alloy for its exceptional properties.”
The Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition mouse will be available exclusively on Razer’s website on February 11 for $280 USD.
