The Nike Air Max 97 Arrive In “Teddy Bear” Vibes

After seeing official pictures of a Dunk Low decorated in warm brown tones, Nike announced that it would be releasing a collection inspired by teddy bears later this year.

Also recently discovered is a “Pink Teddy Bear” version that borrows styling from the 2006 release of the bear-themed “Three Bears” pack.

The Air Max 97 has now received the same “Teddy Bear” treatment from the Swoosh imprint. The upper is primarily made of suede and felt, giving the silhouette a stuffed-toy-inspired look.

The former is followed by contrasting leather accents that wrap wavy around the lower portion. Throughout, the sneaker‘s linear design is maintained, with different brown tones that alternate from panel to panel.

The Swoosh logos are embroidered in a vivid blue tone on deep brown twill to enhance the medial windows, and leather Nike tags with thematic exposed stitching hang from the backs. Split-colored patterns, circular leather tags, and lace accents are added to the tongues’ texture.

Additionally, graphic insoles feature a tough plush bear illustration that matches the laces’ speckling with light brown and blue accents. The design is finished off by two-toned bottoms, full-length white Air units, and midsoles.

The Nike Air Max 97 “Teddy Bear” will retail for $185 USD when they arrive in stores later this year.
