Los Angeles’ Union has quickly established itself as the king of collaborations. With a slew of joint releases planned for the shop’s 30th anniversary in 2021, as well as Air Jordan 2 and Nike Dunk Low collaborations still in the works, we now have a first look at something else in the works from Union x Nike.
Union will be taking on the Nike Cortez, which is a staple in Los Angeles sneaker culture. Union’s version is made of suede with striped canvas underlays inspired by Dorze, co-branded cork insoles, Crater midsoles, and other intricate details.
Union branding can be found on the tongue tags, with Union’s Frontman logo and “Know The Ledge” motto on the other side. The heel flap features another Frontman logo. The Union x Nike Cortez is currently available in two colorways: one in beige with pink and blue accents, and the other in black with aqua blue stripes and kiwi green accents.
