Ohio-based automaker Lordstown Motors has revealed its new electric truck. Tapping the market while it’s fresh, Lordstown aims at traditionalists who may not want to look like they’re driving inside a dystopian sci-fi flick, with its new all-electric battery-powered pickup truck, that can range up to 260 miles per charge.
The Lordstown Endurance promises to “meet or exceed the performance of most full-size pickups on the market.” Using a four-wheel-drive hub-motor system which will reduce the number of moving parts and subsequently decrease breakdowns.
Lordstown says that the first deliveries are scheduled to arrive in late 2020, months before Tesla’s hyped Cybertruck. Other specs have yet to be revealed, however, The Endurance starts at $52,000, and is available for preorder on Lordstown Motors website.
