This Organic Hemp Blanket Aims to Change The Way You Sleep

We’ve all had our fight nights with our blanket, was it too hot or too cold, or the times it would stick to you like the shower curtain, well maybe not. Yet, we have found yourself waking up without it, because it pissed us off last night. Ukraine-based company Verge aims to change that with its natural hemp blanket.

The blanket is designed to support the body’s thermal balance by letting it breathe and to take on the shape of the body, resulting in comfortable sleep even in the hot and dry months. Each blanket is filled with double-layered 100% organic hemp fiber and is quilted for extra durability.

The blanket is available in three sizes — single, full and king. While its covering offers two options such as cotton or flax, the Kickstarter project also offers a hemp pillow designed by the same principles as an add-on.

Is it really made from marijuana? No. However, it’s a close cousin. The difference between the two is that hemp has trace THC amounts of no more than 0.3% concentration by weight (by comparison, marijuana can have concentrations over 30%). But that doesn’t mean it lacks benefits. It is anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic material, it is mold and water resistant plus it’s organic.
